Pool Permits in Oakville: What You Need to Know About Grading, Drainage and Stormwater

Most Oakville pools need a Development Engineering Permit, because the Town treats pool installation as changing the grading of a lot. Applications need a detailed grading plan, tree protection documents, a stormwater form, fees, securities and a compliant pool fence. The grading plan must show that runoff stays on the lot and drains to the street in front, and pool water must be pumped to the street too.
